TypeKey "User ID" problem

It seems like "TypeKey" does allow "." character (ex:User.ID) in the "User ID" but when a comment is posted using the typekey login, the profile name is linked to http://profile.typekey.com/User.ID/ which when clicked leads to a "404" error.
The TypeKey folks need to fix this issue by either linking the profile to http://profile.typekey.com/UserID/ (which infact works) and restrict the use of special characters during registration if they cannot be handled by the TypeKey system.

Firefox crashes better than Internet Explorer

I use Opera, Internet Explorer alongwith Firefox and of the three, I often see Firefox crashing while the rest of the browsers do not seem to have an issue on my system.

"Debug" button does not function as well when it crashes. Probably time for a re-install. :(

.blog TLD

Looking at the increasing number of blogs, I think it is time to have a generic TLD, ".blog", exclusively for blog sites.

Dipsie dCloak Preview

(Shown above: Screen captures of errors I came across while testing dCloak service from Dipsie. Click on the images for a larger view.)
Today I briefly tested dCloak from Dipsie, a company founded by Jason Weiner that helps websites get crawled by search engines. The dCloak service is targeted at web site owners to help them reveal its content that is currently invisible to major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. The content that is stuck in the "deep web" is apparently exposed by using Dispie's dCloak service.

So, dCloak automatically builds an identical set of static web pages for sites with dynamically generated content that cannot be crawled by a regular search engine. In other words, Dipsie takes sites that can't be seen by search engines and builds identical mirror sites that can be indexed easily by major search engines.

The company's model is to make web site owners pay with plans starting at $29.99 a month for five pages or less - to have their sites crawled and optimized by Dipsie. Dipsie can also analyze the content of Web sites and suggest keywords for search engine ad campaigns. The service is being pitched to everyone right from mom-and-pop Web sites and Fortune 500 companies to digital ad professionals, SEO consultants and web site managers.
